How to plan the day

Check the programme for the times of the food stalls and shows: many sagre, especially in August, come alive in the evening. Then arrive a little early, leave the car outside the centre and walk up: in mountain villages the squares are small and the streets narrow.

Each sagra shows the current edition with its source, which can be the town council, the Pro Loco, the organiser or a local newspaper, and the date we checked it. If the new year's dates are not out yet, the page says so and gives the usual period.
How do I find a sagra near where I'm staying?
Use the town filter at the top of the list: pick the town where you're staying or the ones nearby and you'll see only the sagre in that area. For example, Gratteri, Sant'Ambrogio and Finale di Pollina are a few kilometres from Cefalù, while Gangi, Petralia Soprana and Polizzi Generosa are in the high Madonie.
How do I report a missing food festival?
Send us the link to the official source, meaning the page of the town council, of the Pro Loco or the organiser's poster. We check it and publish it with date and source. Without a source we can verify, we don't add dates.
