Trails from San Mauro Castelverde

San Mauro Castelverde's best-known trail is the one to the Gole di Tiberio, the canyon of the river Pollina, recognised as one of the sites of the Madonie UNESCO Global Geopark. The council also suggests other routes: the brigands' path through the former estates towards Castel di Lucio, the path of the votive chapels along old mule tracks, the archaeological path of the Calandra and Maddalena hills and the road through the farm hamlets of Borrello, Tiberio, Karsa, Scala, Botindari and Mallia.
