The Sagra dell'Arancia is Scillato's festival of the Biondo di Scillato, the town's late-ripening orange, recognised as a traditional food product (PAT). It's held in early May, when the Biondo is still juicy: tastings of citrus specialities, a produce market, guided tours of the mills and monuments, street performers and concerts. In 2026 the 28th edition ran from 9 to 10 May. ## When is it held? The festival falls in early May. What makes it special is its late ripening, which lets you enjoy it juicy until May ([Madonie Press](https://www.madoniepress.it/2026/05/04/scillato-celebra-il-biondo-torna-la-sagra-dellarancia-tra-sapori-musica-e-tradizione/)). For Scillato it's the symbol of its farming tradition, among citrus groves, springs and old mills.
