## Programme

Special edition for the 20th anniversary.

The DiVino Festival is the wine festival of [Castelbuono](https://www.lemadonie.it/en/villages/castelbuono/). It takes place at the end of June, between Piazza Castello, the Chiostro di San Francesco and the restaurants in the centre, with the Salone del DiVino (over 700 labels to taste in 2026), masterclasses, an award ceremony and free concerts in the evening. The 20th edition ran from 19 to 21 June 2026.

The format is twofold. By day you taste and learn, with limited places and tickets. In the evening the square below the Ventimiglia castle is open to everyone, with music and shows.

## How the festival works

The 2026 programme, published on the official website, was organised like this:

- **masterclasses and guided tastings** booked online, at the Palazzaccio restaurant, led by wine writer Francesco Saverio Russo;
- **the Salone del DiVino**, the free-flow tasting at the counters of wineries and producers in the Chiostro di San Francesco;
- **the “Gusto DiVino” award ceremony** on the stage in Piazza Castello;
- **concerts and shows** in the evening in Piazza Castello, with free entry.

Tickets for the Salone are bought online. The glass is collected at the entrance to the cloister with a 5 euro deposit, payable in cash (the festival FAQ advises bringing cash, because cards are not accepted for the deposit).

## Practical tips

Castelbuono is about 23 km from Cefalù (25 minutes) and about 90 km from Palermo (1 hour 20), according to our calculation on OpenStreetMap without traffic. The festival is all in the centre, on foot. The sources do not mention dedicated parking.

After a tasting it is better not to drive on mountain roads: choose a room in the village from [where to stay in Castelbuono](https://www.lemadonie.it/en/villages/castelbuono/where-to-stay/).
